THE STRUCTURE OF THE FOUNDATION

The foundation is managed by a board of directors, which, in accordance with the articles of association, includes a member of the founding family. Since 2014, this has been Duchess Anna in Bavaria. Other members of the board are the lawyers Jens Wernick and Dr. Kristian Horn as chairman.

The Board of Directors is assisted by an Advisory Board:

• Prof. Dr. Dr. Heinrich Fürst, Chief Physician of the Martha-Maria Hospital in Munich;
• Prof. Dr. Siegfried Priglinger, Director of the Eye Clinic at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich;
• Lawyer Frieder Roth;
• Prof. Dr. Klaus G. Riedel, long-time head physician of the AHCT.
• Since 2015, the head physician of the eye clinic is Prof. Dr. Christos Haritoglou.

More than 20 independent ophthalmologists (affiliated physicians) operate in the clinic. With their different specialties, they provide the best possible medical treatment for patients. About 90 employees in nursing and administration take care of the other needs of the patients.
