Dr. med. Herzog Carl Theodor in Bayern
Herzog Carl Theodor in Bayern (1839 –
1909) dedicated his life to ophthalmology. In
the 14 years from 1895 to 1909 he personally
carried out more than 5,000 cataract operations
as well as consulting on and treating countless
eye disorders. In 1895 he founded the Herzog
Carl Theodor Eye Clinic in Munich along with
his wife Marie-José.
The clinic in Nymphenburger Strasse remains
one of the most respected eye clinics in Bavaria
to the present day.
